Saya Yamaguchi
Born in Kyoto, Yamaguchi Saya graduated with a Master's Degree in Fine Arts, Ceramic at Kyoto Seika University, Japan in 2003. Over the past 17years, she has exhibited in many parts of the world including her 20 solo exhibitions in Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka and Singapore. She is currently living in Singapore and teaching Ceramic at Studio Miu Art. Yamaguchi's ceramic works have been most sought after in Singapore and Japan. Her works are in public and private collections internationally.

STATEMENT
大きな声で自己主張する写真群。スマートフォンによって変えられたインターネット上にはそんな写真で溢れている。過去の写真家のテクニックはほとんどアプリのフィルターで再現可能と言える。いずれは言葉でスマートフォンに希望を伝えるだけで好きな写真家の作品を真似る事は出来るはずである。
技術というのは逆戻りできない。 人工知能が膨大な情報を得て、自らプログラムを作り出す。 そんなSF的な世界も一部実現しているのである。
しかしそんな世界は技術者に任せておけばいい。
では私の作品の戦略的な位置付けとは。
テクノロジーを肯定しながら否定する。 伝える事を拒否する事で見る人の記憶に結びつく。 具体的な場所も出来事もわからない写真。 それは一人一人の個人の中にしか存在しない場所。
そんな写真を目指している。
I believe art complements what
is lacking in architecture.
Architecture in our society is
often based on rational thinking such as function, engineering, building costs
and the objectives set by the clients and the culture.
Art is irrational. Art tends to
be personal, and at the same time it has the influential energy to broaden our
view of the world.
All of my photographs are an investigation into this irrational
field of what we perceive as our reality.

早稲田大学卒業 建築の世界に関わりながら、様々な芸術の表現形式を追求。 考え方では特にウィットゲンシュタインの後期哲学に興味を持つ。 アメリカとイタリアで作品を展示。
Takashi Yamashita
Takashi was born in Tokyo, Japan. He was originally educated as
an architect at Waseda University in Tokyo. However, needing to fulfill his
curiosity about the world around him, he began studying photography on his own
and started exploring & experimenting the world of photography. His
specialty is fine art photography.
