国際アートコラボレーション
神奈川県茅ヶ崎市 — アメリカ・カリフォルニア州へルモサビーチに位置する Gallery of Hermosa（GOH）は、
CREATIVE SPACE HAYASHI（CSH）との国際アートコラボレーション「SHARED HORIZON」を開催いたします。
本展は、海岸文化を共有する両ギャラリーによる、国境を越えた文化交流への取り組みを示すものです。
4月には、アーティスト兼ギャラリーオーナーである Kimie Joeが、アメリカを拠点に活動するアーティストによる企画展を、
茅ヶ崎のCREATIVE SPACE HAYASHIにて開催いたします。
続く10月には、CSHを主宰する林美砂がキュレーションする日本人アーティストが、カリフォルニア州エルモサビーチの
Gallery of Hermosaにて展示を行います。
本展では、ニューヨーク、マサチューセッツ、メイン、サウスカロライナ、ミネソタ、カリフォルニアなど、アメリカ各地の
アーティストが参加し、
現代美術の多様な表現をご紹介いたします。

‣John Van Hamersveld
グラフィックアートと視覚文化の分野で国際的に高く評価されるレジェンドアーティスト。
本展では、オリジナルの手描き作品および限定ポスターを発表し、その創作プロセスの一端をご紹介します。
‣Chrisi Karvonides-Dushenko
UCLA衣装デザイン学科主任、イェール大学MFA修了。HBO『Big Love』『Carnivàle』『American Horror Story』をはじめ、国際的なオペラ作品でも活躍する著名なコスチューム
デザイナー。彼女のファインアートは、演劇的な深みと物語性を備えています。
‣Jove Wang
中国美術学院および東京で研鑽を積み、現在は米国で活動。カリフォルニア・アートクラブのシグネチャーメンバーであり、数々の「Best of Show」を受賞。作品はアメリカおよびアジアの主要美術館に収蔵されています。
・Richard Wilkie
ディズニー映画『ポカホンタス』『ノートルダムの鐘』『ヘラクレス』に携わり、その後Netflix『F Is for Family』のスーパーバイジングディレクターを務める。絵画作品には映画的な動きと感情の強度が表れています。
‣Harry Ohta
本コラボレーションの中心的存在。海辺の暮らしから影響を受けた現代的表現を展開しています。
その他、Andree Brown、Rush Brown、Val Chan、Monica Jacobs、Dennis Jarvis、Kimie Joe、Stephanie Kohler、David Lang、David Larson、Alabaster Raven、Alvin Takamori らが参加し、絵画、
ミクストメディア、彫刻など多彩な作品を紹介いたします。
本コラボレーションは、アーティスト Harry Ohta 氏を通じた
両ギャラリーのご縁から始まりました。
個人的なつながりが国際的な創造的相乗効果を生み出すことを示しています。
4月の日本でのレセプションは、Luminous株式会社よりフランス産シャンパン「BOREL LUCAS」、SENSE ASIAよりベトナムコーヒーのご協賛を頂いて開催されます。

SHARED HORIZON
An International Collaboration Between Gallery of Hermosa (USA) and Creative Space Hayashi (Japan)
Chigasaki, JAPAN Gallery of Hermosa (GOH) proudly announces SHARED HORIZON, an international art collaboration with CREATIVE SPACE HAYASHI (CSH) demonstrating a shared coastal commitment to cross-cultural exchange.
In April, artist and gallery owner Kimie Joe will present a curated exhibition of American-based artists at Creative Space Hayashi (CSH) in Chigasaki, Japan. In October, the exchange continues as Japanese artists curated by Misa Hayashi from CSH will exhibit at Gallery of Hermosa in Hermosa Beach, California.
This exhibition brings together artists from coast to coast including New York, Massachusetts, Maine, South Carolina, Minnesota, and California and highlights:
● John Van Hamerseld A legendary graphic innovator, internationally celebrated for his iconic contributions to graphic art and visual culture. For this exhibition, Van Hamersveld presents original hand drawings and finished limited edition posters, offering a rare glimpse into his creative process.
● Chrisi Karvonides-Dushenko Head of the Costume Design Department at UCLA and MFA graduate of Yale University, Karvonides-Dushenko is a celebrated costume designer for HBO’s Big Love, Carnivàle, and American Horror Story, as well as major opera productions internationally. Her fine art reflects theatrical depth, narrative sophistication, and decades of professional practice.
● Jove Wang Internationally acclaimed for masterful oil paintings. Trained at the China Academy of Art and in Tokyo before immigrating to the U.S., Wang is a Signature Member of the California Art Club and a multiple Best of Show recipient from the California Art Club and Oil Painters of America. His work is held in major museum collections in the United States and Asia.
● Richard Wilkie Beginning his career at Disney on Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Hercules, and later serving as Supervising Director for Netflix’s F Is for Family, Wilkie brings cinematic movement and emotional intensity to his painting practice.
● Harry Ohta A key force behind this collaboration, Ohta’s work embodies contemporary expression influenced by coastal living.
Participating artists also include Andree Brown, Rush Brown,Val Chan, Monica Jacobs, Dennis Jarvis, Kimie Joe, Stephanie Kohler, David Lang, David Larson, Alabaster Raven, and Alvin Takamori, representing a spectrum of contemporary painting, mixed media, and sculpture.
The collaboration was sparked through the galleries’ mutual connection with artist Harry Ohta - demonstrating how personal relationships can ignite international creative synergy.
The April reception in Japan will be generously supported by Luminous Co., Ltd., sponsoring French champagne “BOREL LUCAS,” and SENSE ASIA, sponsoring Vietnamese coffee.
